Center City Electric Light Parade – Holiday Traditions
Last year because of the frigid temperatures, Center City decided to cancel the holiday electric light parade. So we didn't get to see the amazing decorated holiday floats. However, this year the parade is back. So make plans to take the family downtown to enjoy all the floats and the lightning of the City Christmas Tree.
WHEN: Friday, December 5th, 6pm
WHERE: Downtown on Polk St. Route will start at 11th and Polk continuing north to 3rd then east to the north Civic Center parking lot.
COST: Nothing, absolutely free.
Bring your family, lawn chairs, blankets, beverages,
Get there early to get the best seats.
Don't forget that after the parade make your way over to the North Civic Center parking lot. Santa will be there visiting with the kids and the city Christmas tree will be lit.
Once the parade is over, don't forget you can have dinner downtown and one of the many restaurants. Grab some coffee or hot chocolate from Palace Coffee House or just have a drink or two if you don't have the kids at one of the many establishments. A great way to have fun and support our local downtown businesses.
