As a self proclaimed Pinterest addict, I can honestly say that I've spent hours on the site looking up brilliant and creative ideas, pinning and repinning. If you've never given Pinterest a shot, I'd say, "Get on it! But, beware... it may be addicting."

My most recent fascination with Pinterest is finding amazing recipes and ways to get creative in the kitchen. Just this week, I was searching for a seasonal food dish that my family would enjoy. That's when I came across a Pinterest board created by our local United Supermarket!

August is Hatch Chile Fest at United Supermarket and they've done a stellar job of creating recipes around delicious green Hatch chiles, which are grown in the Hatch Valley area in New Mexico.  These world famous chiles can add an interesting twist on just about any dish, when done right. I highly recommend the Green Chile Breakfast Burrito and the Green Chili BLT. You can find all the recipes here. As a food advocate, I always try to emphasize how important it is to eat seasonally and locally.

United Supermarket supports local and regional products, which makes them my first choice. United is also hosting outdoor chile roastings! For more information about the Hatch Chile Fest visit
