Mission 2540 is on a mission unlike any other.  It's not their regular mission, but it is a mission to show the world they have what it takes to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records.  All it takes is you and a burpee.

If you know what a burpee is, you are no stranger to working out.  If you have no clue what a burpee is, then check out this video.

Now that you know how to do a burpee, do you think you have what it takes to join Mission 2540 to break the Guinness Book of World Records for the most people doing burpees at the same time.

Mission 2540 is hosting a Faith, Family, and Fitness Weekend and breaking the burpee record is just one of the fun events happening.

Starting on Friday, Rich Froning, four-time "Fittest Man on Earth" and CrossFit Games Champion will be in Amarillo.  He and his fitness partner will compete in a two-person fitness competition.

What is Mission 2540?

From magic shows to helping parents find jobs, Mission 2540 supports Amarillo families living in low-income affordable apartment communities. Led by Brooks Boyett, the organization’s mission stems from Matthew 25:40 as they reach out to hurting kids and families and strive to meet their physical, spiritual and emotional needs.

'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'
