Miley Cyrus will reportedly keep the pets she and Liam Hemsworth shared during their marriage.

Following their heartbreaking decision to break upTMZ reports that since the two don't have children together, the "Slide Away" singer will get custody of the animals once the divorce is finalized. The couple had 15 pets together, which consisted of seven dogs, two horses, two mini horses, three cats and a pig.

The outlet noted that if the actor wanted partial custody, he'd legally be allowed to put up a fight since California has "a new law that allows judges to determine which party is best suited to keep the pets." However, that doesn't seem to be the case here. After all, Cyrus was the one who adopted most of the animals anyway.

The 26-year-old pop star did say Hemsworth rescued their pets when their Malibu home burned down in the Woolsey Fire last year. "My partner, I call him my survival partner now. He thinks it’s not romantic, but I learned that it is," she said during an appearance on the Howard Stern Show. "That is why you pair up with someone, for survival, and he was so incredible. He got all the animals out in his truck... He got a lot of action for saving the animals."

Hopefully, Cyrus and Hemsworth will work out an arrangement so the animals will still get to see their dad.
