Fans of Netflix's breakout original 'Orange is the New Black' were disheartened to learn that series star Laura Prepon would only return in a significantly reduced capacity for the second season , eventually confirmed to be four episodes, but whatever keeps Alex offscreen for the new season premiering June 6 seems to have fortunately fallen by the wayside. Could Laura Prepon's Alex be back full time for her precious Piper in season 3?

Keep in mind that Netflix has yet to formally confirm a season 3 order for the Jenji Kohan prison drama (season 2 got its order before the first premiered), but Buzzfeed is at it again to confirm that Prepon will be back full-time in season 3. Prepon had reportedly declined to commit to a second season after filming the first, though Alex's season 2 story had specifically been left with an option to return in a heavier capacity in season 3.

In addition Taryn Manning’s elevation to series regular, ‘Orange Is the New Black’ season 2 will see both Uzo Aduba (Crazy Eyes) and Danielle Brooks’ Tasha “Taystee” Jefferson similarly upgraded. Lorraine Toussaint joined the Netflix drama’s second season in a heavily recurring role as Vee, a longtime street tough who ran her own drug business, recruiting children to serve as runners, while ’90s ‘Tank Girl’ icon Lori Petty will appear in an unknown role as well.

We'll take the news with better spirits when Netflix formally confirms 'Orange is the New Black' season 3 (and of course, they will), but what say you? Are you happy to have Laura Prepon back full time, even with a reduced role in season 2? Check out the latest trailer again below, and tell us what you want to see from 'Orange is the New Black' season 2 on its June 6 premiere!
