Outlet Mall Shopping-Lori’s Top 5

This was my very first outlet mall shopping experience. I was so excited! I was heading to San Marcos to go and visit my cousin and she suggested that we go shopping and introduced me to the outlet mall. When we pulled up I knew I was in for a treat. It was the most wonderful experience and I came home with bags of stuff and all under $100. I was hooked.

I had been to Santa Fe many times growing up but it wasn't until I was in my 20's and happen to stay at a hotel in Santa Fe, and I was introduced to this wonderful establishment. Yes, I had gone to Santa Fe to enjoy the square and the history, but I came away from this Santa Fe trip with a new love, their outlet mall. This time I stocked up on dishes and pans from the cooking stores. Now each time I go to Santa Fe I make it an angenda point to stop at the outlet mall.

I went on a road trip in 2006. It was my first road trip and my first visit to New Orleans as an adult (and I was pregnant). Well as we are driving through Louisiana and are very near our destination point we pass this beautiful group of buildings and I realize it was a outlet mall. Yes, I'm going to a beautiful historic city and I get excited about an outlet mall. My best friend lives in New Orleans so when we got to his house and settled in, I mention, that we passed a outlet mall. He said yes and we will go if you want. Oh yes, please! I do want to go. This outlet excursion was all about the baby to be. I stocked up on baby clothes, maternity clothes and all things baby!

This is a half and half, half mall, half outlet. I must say I thought it was an outlet mall and found myself somewhat disappointed when I found out it wasn't a complete outlet mall. However, with that said, it does have quite a few outlets inside the mall and the Rainforest Cafe! I frequent this mall, at least 2 times per year.

I am excited about this outlet mall because I have wanted to take a trip to Oklahoma to the Zoo. Now I have a extra reason to head on up to Oklahoma City! The new outlet mall. Best thing about this outlet, it is the closet one from Amarillo. This outlet mall opens it's doors this weekend. Road Trip anyone?
