2006 - ROLLING STONES guitarist KEITH RICHARDS was hospitalized for a MILD CONCUSSION, after he FELL OUT OF A PALM TREE while vacationing in the Fiji Islands.

Doctors had to drill a hole into his skull to drain a blood clot on his brain and then had to remove part of his skull in a SECOND operation after part of his brain collapsed.

2006 - Construction began on the 1,776-foot tower for the new World Trade Center in NEW YORK CITY, that's being called One World Trade Center.  It's not expected to be completed until sometime in the year 2013.
