PETA Goes After Super Mario Bros & Nintendo for Mario Wearing Tanuki Fur

Facebook

I don’t know if you have heard about this, but my jaw literally dropped on the floor.

PETA recently released a press release stating that it is going after, of all things, Super Mario.

If you have ever played any of the Super Mario games, you’re aware that everyone’s favorite plumber can find suits that give him extra powers.
The suit that PETA is having an issue with is the one made of fur. It’s official name is a “tanooki,” which is a Japanese raccoon dog.

PETA claims that even though Mario wears this suit in a video game it is sending the wrong message to the gamers that it’s okay to wear fur.
