Raquel Castro, the Little Girl from Jersey Girl, Sings Her Heart Out on NBC’s The Voice

Last night The Voice on NBC was full of talent.  First the coaches busted out with some Queen.  Then the contestants took the stage and rocked the house.  We even saw Christina perform Lady Marmalade with her team of girls (and also showed us that tanning can miss certain areas like arm pits).

Plus, Blake Shelton and his team belted out This Love from Maroon 5 (I kinda get the feeling Adam Levine gave his blessing.)  However it was Raquel Castro, the first performer of the night, that caught my attention.I am an avid movie buff and I watch just about anything that has romantic comedy in the description and yes I watched Jersey Girl.  It was a cute romantic comedy starring Ben Affleck, Liv Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez (for about 5 minutes).  It also starred 9 year old Raquel Castro.

So 7 years later it looks like Raquel has other dreams than being an actress.   After Jersey Girl she acted in small roles on several TV shows.  She obviously wants to be a singer and the girl can sing.
