Join the National Association of  Letter Carriers  as they help to Stamp Out Hunger! this Saturday, May 12th.  Local Letter Carriers are trying to raise 30,000 pounds of food for the High Plains Food Bank.  Watch your mail for a special Stamp Out Hunger! bag.

Then gather non-perishable food, personal hygiene, and paper items in non-breakable containers and leave it by your mailbox this Saturday before 9am for your letter carriers to pick up.

Food Items suggested are:

Canned vegetables, boxed dinners (such as macaroni & cheese, Hamburger Helper, cereal), rice, pinto beans, paper goods (such as paper towels, toilet paper) and personal hygiene items (such as shampoo, body soap, toothbrushes).

Letter Carriers across the Panhandle will be taking part so if you live in Amarillo, Canyon, Dimmitt, Dumas, Friona, Hereford, Shamrock and Tulia.  Make sure you leave your bag outside by your mailbox filled with donated items for the High Plains Food Bank.
