Americans love their dogs. (We especially love this bulldog perpetually circling the table.) But is parading them around in front of everyone a sport?

Man is widely considered to be the deadliest animal on the planet, mostly because it's hard to match the killing power of our guns and nuclear bombs. Even so, there are plenty of lethal predators out there that are more than willing to take us on and, if fortune favors these creates in battle, rip a chunk out of our flesh, or even end our lives.

Sometimes, I think people should have to take a class and be certified before they can have a pet.  I understand that sometimes bad things happen to good people and they can no longer afford their pet.  That is why we have pet rescue shelters, but to abandon an innocent animal in kennel without food is cruel.  This is the story of Goldie.

They are truly the stuff of nightmares. Adorable, licky, stubby-legged nightmares. We're talking about puppy attacks, of course.

I don't know about you, but I needed a dose of cuteness this morning. Since we are less than a week from Halloween and pumpkins abound, I ran across a video of a rare red panda playing with a pumpkin. It is super adorable!

Kathie Lee Gifford is always getting ribbed about being drunk and  quirky on the air.  Saturday Night Live has always had hilarious skits about her and how she acts.  Kathie didn't help herself yesterday when she dropped a puppy on its head.  So it is quite possible that we'll see a skit about that soon.

Just when you thought that Wilbur and Babe were amazing, check out this pig saving a baby goat from drowning.  It's your AWWW moment of the day!

My friend Robyn and I always joke about wanting to own a miniature pet farm.  We would raise pygmy goats, miniature pigs, horses, etc.  I think it would make an awesome farm!
