Sleep
Sleep is my favorite thing to do on a rainy day. With the clouds hiding the sun, it makes for a gloomy day so it gives you a chance to rest. When I'm not at work and it rains I find my comfy pillow and big fuzzy blanket and hunker down for a nice little rain nap.
Baking
My second favorite thing to do on a cold rainy day is bake. There is something about a warm pan of brownies or a batch of cookies coming out of the oven on a rainy day that makes you feel all warm and cozy on the inside.
Movie Marathon
So when it is rainy the kids cannot go outside. After a few hours of them bouncing off the walls, it gets to be a bit much for any parent to take, so rain=movies. Its a time for families to cuddle up on the couch and pick out some great movies, pop some popcorn and have a family day.
Cleaning
I have to admit when it gets raining outside, the cleaning fairy comes to visit my house. I don't know what it is but the raindrops make me want to clean. Maybe it has to do with the rain washing the earth clean. I don't know what it is, but my house usually gets a deep cleaning.
Work
When the rainy day falls on a weekday, there really isn't much you can do but work. So when I get to work on a rainy day, I make a pot of coffee, and get to work. For me, it is coming up with the top 5 ideas on how to spend a rainy day and find some great things to share with you online and on the air.
