The Balloon Rally has become a tradition in Amarillo. Each year the Family Care Foundation and Happy State Bank brings the city a fun 3 days of balloons and family fun. Make plans to bring the family out to enjoy the sights of all the amazing hot air balloons.

Some of the balloons coming this year include “Annie” The Ladybug, Joelly (the baby) Bee, Ham-let, and new this year Yellow Bird, Puddy Cat, and The Lovebirds, and of course a fan favorite, Spyderpig.

It's always a sell-out when the Harlem Globetrotters visit the Amarillo Civic Center Coliseum. They bring their current World Tour to town on Thursday, October 19 at 7 p.m. Tickets, starting at $23.50, are already on sale through PanhandleTickets or by calling 806-378-3096.
Just over two weeks remain for the Amarillo Chamber's 22nd Annual Good Times Celebration Barbecue Cook-Off on Thursday, September 14 from 5-8 p.m. on the Chamber grounds at 10th and Polk. Is your stuffed animal under the weather? Teddy feeling a bit blue? Bring your favorite stuffed animal, or “adopt” one from our gift shop, to get a checkup with our Zoo staff. Stuffed animals might get their vitals checked, bandaged or given “medicine” to make sure they have a clean bill of health before heading home.

The popular Friends of Fogelberg concert returns this week but now with two performances at the Globe-News Center for Performing Arts on either Thursday, September 7 or Friday, September 8. The concert starts at 7 p.m. It features some of the area's top talent and it benefits the fight against prostate cancer. Advance tickets are recommended as the concert has sold out in the past.
A traveling boutique show comes to the Amarillo Civic Center Complex this Saturday, September 9 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. It features vintage, hand-crafted home decor, gourmet food and boutique items. Admission is $5 per person- 12 and under are free.
