If you enjoy playing softball, there's a "heroes challenge" waiting for you in Amarillo. A benefit softball tournament is going to be held in town honoring area firefighters and law enforcement officers.

Recently, we got to catch up with Suzanne from the 100 Club to talk about the upcoming tournament and how people can get involved. You can listen to that conversation below.

Softball Tournament Benefiting the 100 Club

The tournament will be held Oct 16 and 17 at John Stiff Memorial Park. Proceeds will benefit the 100 Club of the Texas Panhandle.

If you know of some friends that would like to play, you better hurry and get signed up. Registration ends at midnight tonight. You can go online to the 100 Club's website, or call 806-676-2180.

What Is The 100 Club?

The 100 Club is an organization that is basically the first responders to our first responders.

When someone loses their life while performing their duties as a first responder, the 100 Club steps in to support their families. When a first responder is injured, the 100 Club steps in to assist them and their family financially.

It's an amazing program, honestly. They also help provide life protecting and life saving equipment to our first responders.

Two Days of Softball to Say Thank You to Our First Responders

This is a pretty cool way of saying thank you to our first responders. We get an entire weekend of fun, and the money raised will go to help them continue to do what they do best.

It will also help give the 100 Club the means to be there for our first responders when they need it most.
