Steven Hall, Jr., who was born in Amarillo, Texas, was featured on today's episode of Discovery Channel's 'Naked and Afraid.' No spoiler alerts.

'Naked and Afraid' is a TV show that takes survival to the next level. A man and a woman, selected for their outdoor skills, are sent out into the wilderness and challenged to make it 21 days without the assistance of the modern world. As if that isn't enough of a challenge, they have to do it without a speck of clothing on.

The participants are taken to Central American jungles, African deserts, and Himalayan foothills. They are put in extreme heat, extreme cold, and extreme humidity.

However, our Amarillo native Steven Hall got a unique experience in the backwoods of Alabama, right here in the U.S.

Hall is a professional artist who moved to Orlando, Florida, after living in Amarillo as a child. He has a great deal of outdoor experience and high level of survival skills.

He was paired with Chalese Meyer, a therapist from Utah.

While I'm not going to tell you if Hall and Meyer survived the 21 days, I will say that most of the couples on the show have problems. Some of them are incompatible and can't stand each other, others make bad choices with food or water and get dangerously ill. However, a lot of the couples make it through the 21 days successfully.

The episode 'King of the Forest' aired at 12 a.m. on Monday, March 14th. To see the highlights, go to the Discovery Channel website.
