The burglar supposedly forced their way inside the gas station. You might think they would have gone after a cash register or safe. You'd be wrong. This thief made off with several packs of cigarettes. They didn't even go for the cartons.
After they allegedly loaded up on smokes, they hopped on a bicycle and rode off into the sunset...so to speak. Before they left, though, they were caught on camera.

Amarillo Crime Stoppers did include a photo of the suspect riding away on their bicycle. Honestly, the bike and the backpack may be the easiest way to identify the person. Otherwise, they're pretty covered up.

If you have any information you are encouraged, as always, to reach out to Amarillo Crime Stoppers by calling 806-374-4400. You can also make an anonymous tip by using the P3 Tips app or by going to amapolice.org. If your info leads to an arrest, you could get a reward of up to $1,000.
