Amarillo’s Firefighters Fill The Boot Drive For MDA
Members of the Amarillo Firefighters and Professional Firefighters Association Local 542 are raising money for Muscular Dystrophy Association. There will be more than 200 firefighters spread out all over Amarillo collecting money to help out MDA. They will be out tomorrow, Friday, and Saturday at the intersections of 45th and Coulter, 34th and Bell, I-40 and Ross, I-40 and Western, and I-40 and Soncy and United on 45th and Bell and Market Street on Georgia.
All the money raised will benefit families with life-enhancing resources and support that open new possibilities and maximize independence so they can experience the world without any limits.
Moneys raised helps the Muscular Dystrophy Association do research and fund state of the art programs and care centers including the MDA Care Center at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock. They also help send 30 kids to the "best week of the year " at MDA Summer Camp at no cost to the families.
So look out for the firefighters and donate what you can!
