The American Council of the Blind Thrift store opened in Amarillo in 1985. Since then they have been offering clothing, household stuff, and other interesting finds. All of the proceeds directly benefit the American Council of the Blind, whose goal is to improve the quality of life for those who are blind or visually impaired.

In my house, this is one of our favorite spots for thrifting. You can usually find some pretty interesting stuff there, and knowing that the money goes to a great cause is a big bonus.
