There have been a lot of events canceled. More have been postponed. Others have completely changed the way they're held to adapt to restrictions and guidelines.

The Amarillo Botanical Gardens' 'Christmas In The Gardens' is still on for 2020, and kicks off one week from this upcoming Saturday. On November 28, over 350,000 Christmas lights will illuminate the Gardens.

There will be pictures with Santa, hot chocolate, coffee, popcorn, cotton candy, and they even still have wreaths and trees that will be for sale. You can get more details by following this link.

Christmas In The Gardens lasts from Nov 28 through Dec 20 on Thursdays, Fridays, and Sundays 6 PM until 8:30 PM. They'll be open from 6 PM until 9 PM  on Saturdays.

Their website does have information regarding Covid-19, but nothing in the way of requiring masks for entry

It's nice to see something we're used to this time of year happening the way we're used to seeing it happen. We're still having the Electric Light Parade downtown, but it's a reverse parade. That means you drive through. The floats are stationary.

Getting family together for the holidays is also looking different. In my own family, I'm dealing with quarantines and getting to see loved ones.

Even shopping is becoming stressful. Just last night, I went to the store to pick up a couple of things and found empty shelves.

It's nice seeing something "normal" happening this year. Hopefully everything works out and we won't see this postponed or canceled as we get closer.
