A recent study was done by Construction Coverage to determine which construction jobs pay the most. They were able to break down the data and found the five best-paying jobs in Amarillo, Texas.

According to the results of their study, the five best-paying jobs are:

  • Hazardous Materials Removal
  • First Line Supervisors of Construction Trades and Extraction Workers
  • Electricians
  • Plumbers, Pipefitters, Steamfitters
  • Construction and Building Inspectors

How Much Can You Get Paid Working Construction In Amarillo, Texas?

According to the study that was conducted, the top earners were in hazardous material removal. Their study shows that on average individuals in this line of work take home somewhere around $32.96 an hour, or $68,560 a year.

In their study, inspectors came in fifth and even they did pretty well. According to the study, the average pay for inspectors was $22.76 an hour, or $47,340 a year. That's not bad.

Nationwide, the study showed that those in a more specialized position were more likely to take home the most money. Individuals considered to have a specialized position in some cases made as much as $47.60 an hour. One of the examples given was elevator and escalator repair.
