If you keep up with the Amarillo Crime Stoppers on social media, you've seen how busy they are already in 2025. We recently covered the theft of a skid steer and trailer, there have been multiple burglaries and thefts in the city. One month ago, though, they gave us the wildest burglary video of 2025 so far.

Burglary At Cain Electrical Supply In Amarillo, Texas

On January 10, a pair of thieves broke into the Cain Electrical Supply building at 215 S. Bonham in Amarillo. It looks like a run-of-the-mill burglary at the start. One of the burglars uses what looks like a tire iron or crowbar to bust out a window.

The pair crawl through the broken window and get down to business. They cross the room until they are off-camera. The next time we see them, one uses the door to make their exit, while the other follows behind with a toolbox in tow.

This Amarillo Thief Really Didn't Think This Through

The second thief with the toolbox makes a decision that boggles the mind. Perhaps they didn't see their comrade use the perfectly working door to just walk out. Maybe something happened and it spooked the thief. Perhaps they just lack general situational awareness.

For whatever reason, we all are treated to watching this individual chuck the toolbox back through the window and then make the slowest, least graceful crawl through a window I've ever seen. Why they chose to go back through the window is beyond me.

As of right now, I've yet to see an update on this post from Amarillo Crime Stoppers, which leads me to believe that maybe the case is still open. If you have any information, you're encouraged to contact Amarillo Crime Stoppers. If the info leads to an arrest, you could get a reward up to $1,000.

Dangerous Texas Gangs And Their Rivals

The rise of gang culture in Texas has been a steady one

The more prevalent gangs are, the more likely the average citizen is to cross paths with affiliated members. As the population of Texas has increased in size and diversity, so have the gangs of the Lone Star state.

If you're not mixed up in organized crime shenanigans, then you're probably safe. But as the old adage goes, the more you know the better prepared you are.
