Rick Moranis in ‘Ghostbusters’ + Charlie Day in ‘Pacific Rim’ – Celebrity Doppelgangers
Actor and comedian Charlie Day was on 'Conan' last night (July 15) promoting his sci-fi movie 'Pacific Rim,' and the ginger host drew a comparison between Day and Rick Moranis. And now we can't unsee it.
Rick Moranis was a big movie fixture in the '80s, playing Rick Moranis (read: the nerdy nebbish type) in fan favorites like the 'Ghostbusters' series, 'Little Shop of Horrors' and the 'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids' franchise. He retired from acting in 1997, but returned in 2000 to do some voice-over work for children's cartoons.
Charlie Day plays Charlie Kelly, the too-dumb-for-his-own-good inventor of "Kitten Mittons" on the FX series 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia' (he's also one of the show's writers). Aside from 'Pacific Rim,' his movie roles include work in 'Horrible Bosses' and its upcoming sequel, 'Horrible Bosses 2: More Horribler.' (Okay, that may not be the actual title.)
