Why Teen Bride Courtney Stodden Keeps Getting Banned From Facebook
Courtney Stodden, the 17-year-old bride of 51-year-old actor Doug Hutchison, has apparently had her Facebook page pulled. And it’s not the first time it’s happened.
Stodden likes to post revealing photos of herself in bikinis and lingerie, and her overtly-sexual behavior online and in interviews has raised the ire of more than one responsible parent.
But her mother, Krista Keller, is outraged. Not at her daughter’s inappropriateness — Keller did, after all, give her consent for a then-16-year-old Courtney to marry a man 34 years her senior earlier this year — but over the “bullying” she feels Courtney is experiencing.
She says Courtney’s various Facebook pages have been pulled “eight or 10 times now,” but her daughter is never told why.
In an interview with E! News, Keller said:
“On any Facebook page, people can report it for inappropriate content. There is nothing on her page you wouldn’t find anywhere on Facebook! She has never done any nudity. Not a breast, not even a butt cheek. It’s just her in a bathing suit!
“It’s the jealousy from the women towards her. The men love her, the women hate her. The women report the photo because it’s so easy to do. You just click a button. They think she’s too sexy, they all report her together, and it’s done.
“A lot of men and young girls love her page, but when the wives see their husbands on her page, they team up to get Courtney kicked off! When Facebook gets enough reports on one page, it locks her out … She’s just too sexy for Facebook!”
For what it’s worth, Stodden’s official website links to a Facebook page that is — for the moment — still active.
