Dua Lipa took home the 2019 Grammy Award for Best New Artist Sunday night (Feb. 10) right after wrapping her performance with St. Vincent.

In her powerful acceptance speech, Lipa thanked her family and fans for the win. "Thank you to my fans for letting me be the best version of myself," she said, going on to recognize other strong female artists and also told fans "you can do whatever you put your mind to."

Unfortunately, Lipa's speech was cut short before she could get all of her words in. One of the most noteworthy parts of her speech was, "No matter where you're from, or your background, or what you believe in, never let that get in the way of you and your dreams, because you deserve it."

Tonight's Best New Artist win marks Lipa's second Grammy win and her second nomination.

The full list of Best New Artist nominees for this year's Grammy's included Chloe X Halle, Luke Combs, Greta Van Fleet, H.E.R., Dua Lipa, Margo Price, Bebe Rexha and Jorja Smith.

Last year's Best New Artist winner was Alessia Cara, who presented Lipa with her award tonight.
