Five Summer Getaways That Cost $1000 or Less

Bricktown OKC

There's something fun for the entire family in Bricktown in OKC.  Take a ride on the water taxi, go shopping at Bass Pro Shops, eat some amazing food and more.  Not to mention just down the road OKC has some fun amusement parks and of course the outlet mall.

Dallas/Ft. Worth

The fun is endless in the DFW area, whether you choose a weekend at Six Flags or Hurricane Harbor.  Maybe you wan to take the family to the Zoo or you just want to head to some place like the Great Wolfe Lodge where it is all built in.  Then you can take a trip down the road to DFW for less than $1000.

Red River, NM

Yes Red River is awesome for skiing but it is also a great place to visit in the Summer.  It's a great place to take a hike, go fishing, hang out at the cabin enjoying nature.  Not only that, they still have the ski lift open to where you can go an enjoy amazing views of the mountains.

Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs is not far from Amarillo.  They have a great mix of entertainment and attractions.  It's a perfect getaway.  Plus, while you are there you have to check out Pike's Peak or the Garden of the Gods.

Branson, MO

Last year my family and I took a trip to Branson, Mo and did it for under $1000.  You can find some great deals on hotel and attractions.  It was a blast!  We drove so we could enjoy the scenery so if you are looking for a great getaway check out Branson.
