Annual Tribute To Fallen Veterans Spans Decades
30 years ago, the annual tribute to our nation's fallen veterans was started by a businessman from Maine. It has grown into a tradition that is honored in all 50 states. Events take place in local, state, and national cemeteries.
In the press release issued by Atmos Energy, they state that the company along with employees and their families will be taking part in ceremonies.
According to the Wreaths Across America website, there are over two million volunteers and supporters who will be gathering this year to lay wreaths on the headstones of fallen veterans. They also state that there are over 4,000 participating locations across the country.
This weekend, make sure to set aside some time to remember those who have served and are serving. If you're able, attend one of the Wreaths Across America events.
