According to Business Insider, the private data and information from 533 million Facebook accounts have recently been leaked online and posted to a website used by hackers.

The massive Facebook information hack affects users from 106 countries, including more than 32 million accounts in the United States.

Reportedly even Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg's information has been leaked, including his phone number.

KLFY reports that information such as full names, Facebook IDs, phone numbers, bio information, and in some cases email addresses have been leaked and posted to a hacking website.

And apparently, the information has been leaked just for fun, being made available for free online.

Liz Bourgeois, a Facebook communications team member said on Twitter that the information that was stolen and leaked was “old data that was previously reported on in 2019.”

According to Bourgeois, Facebook fixed the security breach in August of 2019.

So, apparently the hack happened in 2019, but the information stolen in that hack is what is recently and freely being posted to an online website used by hackers.
