This $1.2 Million Lake Tanglewood Gem Will Have You Dreaming of Life on the Lake

The Amarillo area is full of homes with character, beauty, and history. No matter the type of home you're looking for, you can most likely find it here or in the surrounding areas.

One of the things I've always wanted it to be able to live on the water somewhere. It doesn't have to be crazy fancy, but I want to walk out on my back patio and just be staring right out onto a lake or something.

I have a tendency to look at the homes that are for sale in the Lake Tanglewood area, even though I know I have zero shot of affording them. As I was doing what seems to be my monthly search for homes there, I stumbled upon one that really caught my eye.

It wasn't one of the newer homes in the area, in fact, it was built in 1980 so it's nearly as old as I am. It also is one bedroom short of what I would need for my family, but my goodness the views.

Inside, there are windows that line the entire living room from floor to ceiling and give you the most amazing views of the water. So incredibly peaceful inside and out. The master bedroom gives you the same views.

Oh yeah, the house itself is pretty nice too. Over 3,000 square feet so it's expansive with a ton of space. Don't take my word for it though, take a look for yourself.
