New Kids on the Block Had Fun on the Road With These Iconic Artists (EXCLUSIVE)
New Kids on the Block are currently on their Magic Summer 2024 Tour, a nostalgic reference to their 1990 stadium tour of the same name.
Over the decades, Danny Wood, Donnie Wahlberg, Joey McIntyre and brothers Jonathan and Jordan Knight have traveled the world entertaining millions of fans. Along the way, they've toured with the likes of Lady Gaga, who opened for NKOTB on their 2009 Full Service Tour, as well as Jesse McCartney and '80s pop icon Tiffany.
Speaking to PopCrush Nights, the group shouted out Wanyá Morris from Boyz II Men as one of their favorite musicians they've toured with.
The boy band also gushed that Salt (a.k.a. Cheryl James) from the iconic hip-hop duo Salt-N-Pepa was in a "class by herself" when they were on the road together.
NKOTB—who recently released Still Kids, their first studio album in 11 years—say it's a "delicate dance" to maintain their nostalgia with older fans while integrating their new music into their shows.
Wahlberg tells PopCrush that the band "really committed to this new album."
"We all still feel like kids inside — us, our fans," he shares.
NKOTB formed in 1984 when Joey was only 12 years old, and the rest of the bandmates were teenagers.
Joined by pop icon Paula Abdul and legendary DJ Jazzy Jeff, the band kicked off their new tour in Ohio last month, and will wrap up their 40-date run on Aug. 25 in Indiana.
