Predator Among Us: Mountain Lion Scares In Texas Towns
2024 has been a crazy year for mountain lion sightings in Texas. What makes it so scary is that these sightings haven't been out in the middle of nowhere far away from civilization. These sightings have been in city limits on streets and in yards. Recently, a sighting in Frisco, Texas was added to the growing list.
Confirmed Mountain Lion Sighting In Frisco, Texas
According to reports, the incident took place on November 1. At around 4:30 AM, a mountain lion was caught on security camera looking around a backyard. You can see the big cat walking around, checking out things out. It looks like the mountain lion was passing through, took a wrong turn, saw a dead end, and then just trotted away like it was no big deal.
The video brings to mind the almost terrifying thought of what could be happening outside of our houses while we sleep. The person whose security camera caught the footage didn't realize he had been visited by the scary cat until well after the fact. They saw they had a notification, and then got the shock of a lifetime.
I wake up pretty early, around 4:30 AM to be exact. I usually leave the house shortly after to head to work, and this has me wondering what I would do if I walked out to find a mountain lion scoping out my yard. It's an unsettling thought.
