I thought we would head back to the dawn of the decade of access. It was April 12, 1980 when this song made it's debut on the Billboard chart. The singer was born Robert Dupuis on ecember 23, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York. Chart-wise, you could call him a one to two hit wonder. His chart career lasted, roughly, about 12 months. Three of his songs charted in the Billboard Hot 100, with two breaking into the top 20 and one into the top 10.

His biggest hit, 'Steal Away' is very similar to another keyboard-driven song from a year earlier, The Doobie Brothers-"What A Fool Believes."

Dupuis took on the stage name Robbie Dupree and, although, he hasn't had luck on the charts' as a singer since 1980, he still is very active making music.

According to Wikipedia:

In 2010, Dupree signed with Spectra Records and released the album "Time and Tide" featuring former E Street Band keyboards player David Sancious. On May 21, 2010 Dupree performed on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon as part of Jimmy's ongoing tribute to Yacht Rock: the smooth West Coast sound of the late 1970s and early 1980s.
