Last year Paula Deen was sued by the former general manager of the restaurant she owned with her brother for offenses including inflicting emotional distress with her offensive racial comments.

Now, in a recorded deposition, she's pretty much admitted the latter accusations are true.

Deen, 66, gave a deposition for the lawsuit filed by Lisa Jackson, who previously managed Deen's restaurant Uncle Bubba’s Seafood and Oyster House in Savannah, Ga. In the statement, Deen admits to telling racist jokes and wanting slave-themed wait staff for a wedding she planned.

According to the National Enquirer, when Paula was asked by an attorney whether she used the N-word, she said simply, "Yes, of course," like she was being asked if she currently had butter in her system.

“It’s just what they are — they’re jokes ... most jokes are about Jewish people, rednecks, black folks ... I can’t determine what offends another person," Paula said of her "joking."

Pressed further on the question of a slave-themed wedding, Paula said she originally got the idea from a restaurant she and her brother had visited.

“The whole entire waiter staff was middle-aged black men, and they had on beautiful white jackets with a black bow tie ... I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America ... after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War ... It was not only black men, it was black women ... I would say they were slaves.”

Paula's brother Bubba -- whom Paula claims is addicted to cocaine, alcohol and pornography -- made some claims of his own, admitting he used the N-word in reference to President Obama (because apparently he's a super sore loser).

“While Paula and Bubba did make some pretty damaging confessions in their depositions, what they admitted to only scratches the surface of what actually goes on in their daily lives,” a source told the magazine.

If that's true, this could very well ruin her career. But maybe doing the catering for David Duke's annual Thanksgiving party pays enough for her to get by.
