Police Want Info On Person Supposedly Ripping Up Area Graveyard

I wish I could start this off with a joke. But I can't. I'm not even sure just what the heck I'm seeing. It appears to be someone wielding a pick axe, and trashing a cemetery. In fact, I'm pretty sure that's exactly what it is.

Now, police are looking for info into who was out ripping up a Texas panhandle graveyard.

Police In Dalhart Are Wanting Info On Individual

Yesterday, Dalhart Police Department's Facebook page shared a video of someone with a pick axe appearing to tear up the ground at a grave site. It's strange. Definitely something you don't see everyday. And if this is just random vandalism, then it's insanely disgusting.

What could get someone so worked up that they couldn't let the dead sleep? Watching the video, the person doesn't seem like they're having the best day ever. Best days ever don't end with a pick axe at a graveyard.

More Questions Than Answers At The Moment

According to the post on Facebook, there were objects nearby that were broken. The dirt you see getting dug up is on a grave site. No headstones were destroyed.

I found the headstone piece of info particularly interesting because that's usually what you hear about. Vandals heading to the cemetery to destroy headstones. Though, that's usually done when most people are asleep. Not in the evening.

If you have any information, you are asked to contact the Dalhart Police Department. Hopefully we'll find out exactly what happened and why. I just can't imagine someone going out, and putting in little-to-no-effort into digging up a grave site just because they couldn't find anything to stream on Netflix.
