St. Patrick’s Day Fun In Shamrock, Texas

Shamrock, Texas, is the place to be when it comes to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.  Now not only do they celebrate on St. Patrick's Day, they make it an event for the entire weekend. Shamrock, Texas goes all out each year with their celebration.

The main festivities start on Friday with a carnival and a Country Club Dance.  Saturday all the fun happens.  Everything from a carnival to a parade to a beard and beauty contest to a big dance featuring Jason Boland and the Stragglers will take place.

There will also be a chili cook off on Saturday along with an open market and lots of fun.

The activities continue on Sunday to end the week with a lot of green fun!
