The second annual Stars of the South Plains talent competition is slated for early February next year. It will pit some of the brightest talents from Lubbock, Amarillo, and the rest of the South Plains against each other for a shot at winning a $5,000 grand prize.

Registration is open for those wishing to put their talents on display and sponsorship opportunities are available for individuals and businesses. Tickets will go on sale soon. While the grand prize is pretty big news, it's not all about the money. The talent competition is happening to benefit a great cause.

Major Talent Competition To Benefit Make-A-Wish

The Stars of the South Plains talent competition isn't just about showcasing potential future stars and a chance at winning $5,000. The competition is being used to raise funds for Make-A-Wish. Funds raised from the event will help wishes be granted for children with critical illnesses. So far, over 1,780 wishes have been granted in Amarillo and Lubbock.

  • Auditions are open to all ages and talents. Audition submissions will be accepted through January 3, 2025.
  • The event is on Saturday, February 8, 2025
  • It will be held at the Buddy Holly Hall of Performing Arts and Sciences in Lubbock

  • Tickets will be on sale soon
