‘Supergirl’ Namedrops Gotham City in Extended Season 2 Trailer
Earlier today afforded our first look at Supergirl and Superman in action with a new Season 2 premiere clip, but we were missing the full picture. No longer, as you can learn how Superman smells, get an earful of Gotham City, and check out Lena Luthor in the new full Season 2 trailer!
There’s a lot to take in with the latest Supergirl Season 2 sneak peek, including a wealth of footage from the first two episodes (the only ones we know Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman to take part in), and beyond. Not only does a brief clip offer our first official Gotham reference on any of the CW shows, but we also caught Lena Luthor, and what could be a first look at Miss Martian (or more likely Indigo from Season 1):
So reads the “Adventures of Supergirl” premiere synopsis:
THE CW HAS A NEW HERO AND SHE’S BRINGING SUPERMAN WITH HER
When a new threat emerges in National City, Kara/Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) teams up with her cousin, Clark Kent/Superman (guest star Tyler Hoechlin), to stop it. Kara is thrilled to have family in town but it leaves Alex (Chyler Leigh) feeling a bit left out.
Meanwhile, Hank (David Harewood) and Supergirl are stunned by the pod that came crashing to Earth.
Elsewhere, in addition to the introduction of Tyler Hoechlin’s Superman, Lynda Carter’s POTUS, Floriana Lima as Maggie Sawyer and Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Supergirl Season 2 has cast several notable roles that include Dichen Lachman’s Roulette, Metallo, Cat Grant’s pseudo-replacement Snapper Carr, Sharon Leal as Miss Martian and Chris Wood as pod occupant Mon-El. Still is how the Maiden of Might ends up in a musical, or that epic four-way superhero crossover.
Supergirl has plenty more to show on the road to Season 2's October 10 premiere, but check out additional photos and footage below.
