When it comes to diversity, it may or may not surprise you just how diverse the state of Texas really is.

WalletHub on Tuesday released its ranking of the most to least diverse states in the nation.

According to WalletHub, they didn't just look at racial lines to find diversity. Economic diversity and education also played a part in their findings:

But U.S. diversity spans more than just racial lines. In many states, the population reflects a mix of not just races and ethnicities but also cultures, religions, economic statuses, educational backgrounds and other characteristics. These groups come together in everyday life, influencing and experiencing one another.

According to WalletHub, Texas is the second most diverse state in the nation. California was ranked as the most diverse, and the state of West Virginia was dead-last in diversity.
