A study was done recently comparing the cost of a holiday meal across the states, and in the U.S., Texas has the most affordable holiday meals. According to the numbers crunched by SumUp, Texans can expect to have the most affordable meals in the country by spending an average of $46.06 for a family of four. The national average is just over $51.

How Expensive Is A Holiday Meal In Texas?

Looking at the study that was done, one might be forgiven for scratching their head in confusion. $46.06 for a family of four seems incredibly cheap. You have to keep in mind this is based on averages. Looking at my grocery bills, $46.06 seems like a steal. That amount doesn't seem like it would get you much of a meal at all when it's split between four people.

The study does admit what we all know. The cost of food has gone up and continues to remain high. We're all feeling the pinch at the grocery store. On the bright side, it seems like we're feeling it a lot less than others just in time for Christmas.
