2020 has been rough on every single one of us. I don't know a single person who would say they haven't been impacted by some form of tragedy.

The Hope And Healing Place is going to be hosting a butterfly release on September 12 at Memorial Park. The event is a way to remember loved ones, celebrate the life they lived, and remember the love you shared.

The Hope And Healing Place's mission is to provide a safe place where children, adults, and families who are dealing with grief.

Over the past few months, my family has been affected by the loss of loved ones. Losing loved ones in the midst of the pandemic just seems to amplify the feeling of loss.

There have been many nights we stay awake talking through the sometimes intense feelings, and comforting each other.

An event like this one strikes me as an excellent way to celebrate those loved ones. The Hope And Healing Place states that the event is a tangible way to celebrate those lives.

There will be other activities at the event. They are planning a chalk walk and crafts along with the release ceremony.
