The Top 5 Don Henley Songs
We fell in love with Don Henley when he was a part of the Eagles. Then he went off on his own and had a great solo career that is still successful today. Don Henley recently released a new country album, called Cass County. Henley has stepped into the country world, but he's no stranger to crossing over different genres. Henley is also embarking on a tour and we have your chance to see him live in Chicago. So in the meantime, here are my Top 5 Don Henley songs.
The Heart of the Matter
I don't know what it is about this song, I remember when it first came out, it had such an effect on me. I remember it coming on the radio and I would sing at the top of my lungs, "even if, even if, you don't love me anymore."
The End of the Innocence
Another great song, that makes you feel things. There is just something about losing innocence and Don Henley puts it perfectly in this song.
The Boys of Summer
I have always seen this as a love song. A song of a man trying to win back a woman he lost. Even though she has moved on he's still pining away for that long lost love.
The Last Worthless Evening
A great song about breaking up with someone and finding someone to spend your time with. Finding that love and not having to worry about spending nights alone and with the wrong person. It's about finding new love and getting over that intense heartbreak.
New York Minute
I'll be honest with you, I didn't really pay attention to this song until 9/11, however since thing I have always loved it. It's one of those that when it comes on, I turn up the volume and just lose myself in the poweress.
