Which Dallas Cowboys Legend Is The Worst Commentator? Prepare Yourself.
Football is a way of life in almost every household in Texas. Every Thursday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday you'll find Texans huddled around beer and snacks screaming like maniacs. On Friday nights they're in the stands of a high school football game pretending they're not freezing to death. Football is important, which is what makes this next piece of trivia unfortunate. Two Texas legends are among the worst football commentators in the U.S.
Two Texas Legends On The Field Not So Hot Off The Field
A recent study was done to determine the worst NFL commentators in the country. The findings contained some very depressing news for Dallas Cowboys fans. Two legends from America's Team found themselves in the top 10 worst. Commentators were judged based on the number of flubs they've had, the number of times they've used inappropriate language, and how people talk about them online.
The two Cowboys legends on the list are, of course, Troy Aikman and Tony Romo. Both can be heard offering their expert takes on the game every week. You'd think these legendary quarterbacks would be far from being the worst, given their experience on the field. However, the stats paint a different picture.
The Worst Former Dallas Cowboy Turned Commentator Is...
After breaking down the numbers, the study points to Tony Romo as being the worst former Cowboy turned commentator. His score was based on the number of instances of using inappropriate language, faux-pas made during a broadcast, online sentiment, and using filler words when not sure what to say. Tony was ranked the fourth-worst commentator in the nation.
Troy Aikman edged out a victory over Romo by ranking as the ninth-worst NFL commentator. Not as bad, but definitely not something to celebrate. If there's anything to celebrate in this study done by FlashPicks it's that we're not Joe Davis. He was ranked the worst.
