According to the American Cancer Society, about 230,000 people will be diagnosed with Breast Cancer this year, and 40,000 people will die from breast cancer this year.  That is why this new study is exciting and hopeful.

According to an article on The Raw Story:

"Scientists at the Penn State College of Medicine said this week they have discovered a virus that is capable of killing all grades of breast cancer "within seven days" of first introduction in a laboratory setting."

This has only been tested in the lab and not on actual humans.  The cure is probably years away, especially with more testing and FDA approval.  It is very exciting news to know that science is one step closer in alleviating this cancer.  Hopefully, one day soon, we will hear and read the term "We have a cure for breast cancer."
