Childress and Shamrock ISD Allow Staff to Carry Guns on School Campus

After all the recent school shootings, two school districts in our area have decided to make sure our kids are protected and are allowing staff to carried guns onto the school campus.

It's a part of the the school defender programs that have been in place for about a year.   It was a measure to make their students and staff feel safe.

Shamrock has board approved staff that will carry guns on their persons and each classroom will have a safe and device.

All staff that do carry guns have the proper training and permits.

So as many school takes on this new policy, what are your thoughts on the whole idea of school staff carrying guns?  Do you think this is a good idea?
