A sophomore at Franklin Regional High School in Murrysville, Pennsylvania, attacked his fellow students Wednesday morning, injuring at least 20 people, four of them seriously. He is now in police custody.
A 17-year old student in Livingston, Texas was in a hurry one school morning while packing his lunch. At the time he didn't realize he had packed a beer into his lunch instead of a soda. So when he realized his mistake he handed the beer to his teacher and told her what happened. Even though he made the teacher aware of his mistake he was still suspended for 3 days and put in alternative school for 2 months.
Since a story in Utah broke about the school throwing away students lunches to make a point to the parents about past due lunch accounts was brought to light, people are keeping an eye out on the whole school lunch debacle. It seems that a similar thing was happening in Houston. Students who had past due lunch accounts were only given cold cheese sandwiches for lunch. A school mentor by the name of Kenny Thompson wasn't having any of that and decided to step up and do something about it.
