It's time for the Bar B Que "Battle of the Badges"!  Law enforcement and fire fighters square off in a no-holds barred bar b que battle!  It will be held at the 100 Club meeting on May 12th in the food court area of the Tri State Fairgrounds.Have you heard of the 100 Club?  The club was formed in 2004 and incorporated as a non-profit in 2006.  It is based on the 100 Club in Detroit.  Back in 1952, a car dealer asked 100 friends to donate $100 to help with the family of a slain police officer. He got a 100% return rate and was able to pay off the mortgage and provide an education fund for the young baby.

The Amarillo 100 Club helps the families of police officers and firefighters right here in the Panhandle.  If you are interested in learning more, go to their website www.texaspanhandle100club.org.

Come out, have some awesome bar b que, and thank those first responders in person!
