We all know kid are not allowed to smoke.  They aren't allowed to smoke in school either.  So when a school confiscated an e-cigarette a 14-year old was using, you would think what wouldn't cause an uproar.  However, the boy's mother caused an uproar and complained to the school about them taking away his e-cigarette.

Apparently, 14-year old Mason Dunn started smoking after the death of his father, and after trying to quit with other ways, it seems that the e-cigarettes seem to be helping. However, he is smoking 10-packs of e-cigarettes per day.

After Mason was caught with the e-cigarettes at school, it was taken away by a school official. Once Mason's mother found out what happened, she started complaining about the school taking away his e-cigarette. The school told the mother, Sue, that it was against school policy for students to have e-cigarettes. However, Sue thinks her son should be allowed to smoke e-cigarettes if it helps to prevent getting cancer.

So what do you think? We would like to know your thoughts about this whole situation. Does the mother have a right to complain to the school. Do you think this mother is crazy for allowing her 14-year old son to smoke e-cigarettes? Do you think the school should allow this boy to smoke e-cigarette if it is helping him quit real cigarettes? What are your thoughts?

Keep in mind this story happened in the UK and not in the United States.
