July 3, 2012 One of the great things about the 4th of July is the fireworks. As a child I had the opportunity to "pop" our own fireworks since my grandparents lived on a dirt road outside the city limits. However, most kids that I know, including my son don't get to do anything like that so it is great that they have a fireworks display right here in Amarillo.
July 5, 2011 Tons of people flocked to Canyon from Amarillo to enjoy their 4th of July parade and Fair on the Square. My husband and son may their way down to Canyon to enjoy the fun as well and brought back pictures

July 4, 2011 Growing up my grandparents lived out in the country so my brother and I were allowed to pop fireworks each 4th of July. We always had left over BlackCats, so we would pop them throughout the year. One time my brother thought it would be funny to play a trick on my grandma. He took one of her sauce pans and put lit firecrackers in them then put the lid on it set it in the kitchen floor and ran. I thought my grandma would have a heart attack. July 4, 2011 I love cooking desserts! I love cooking desserts especially for holidays. I was searching the web to find a really good dessert recipe for the 4th of July, and I thought since I'm searching for a dessert to cook, I might as well share the dessert recipes with you.
