You probably know by now how I really feel about movie remakes. I don't like the idea of Hollywood remaking movies. Yes, I understand that this happens and always will, however, for me some of these remakes are just a little bit too soon. Today
Tyler Perry’s phenomenal success shows no sign of waning anytime soon. On top of his other accomplishments, it was recently announced that the multi-hyphenate was the highest paid man in entertainment.
Romancing the Stone is one of my favorite movies. I love that movie, it has adventure, action, romance and crocodiles all in one movie. I owned it on VHS and I think I wore the poor tape out. The movie was originally released in 1984 starring Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and Danny DeVito. It also spawned several movies with this trio. Now rumors are floating around that Hollywood is wanting to remake this movie. UGH!

As I have mentioned before I love to read! I have read Stephen King's "The Stand" several times. It is one of those books that I call a page turner, you just cannot put it down. The first time I read the book was in the 90's. Then in 1994 "The Stand" was made into a mini-series on ABC.
