I remember as a kid sitting and watching Nickelodeon and waiting for Double Dare to come on. The family game competition that left the entire family covered in some kind of goo. I always thought I could run the obstacle course win! I was sad when the show was cancelled. However, Marc Summers in an interview with the HuffPost Live Marc said he would like to bring back Double Dare.

The cable TV network Nickelodeon has plans for new, late night programming targeted at moms. After months of research, the network has concluded that an untapped audience of busy moms are watching television between the hours of 9 p.m. and 1 a.m.

It worked for Valerie Bertinelli and Betty White with Hot In Cleveland, now Nickelodeon is developing a new sitcome for Scott Baio called Daddy's Home.  Scott Baio was popular in the 70's and 80's when he played Chachi in Happy Days and Joanie Loves Chachi, then in the 80's with Charles in Charge.

I have learned in the last 4 1/2 years to never use the term, "my child will never do that."  What i have found is my child will do that,  so it is safer not to say those words.   On one occasion in his early years I did say, "my child will never watch SpongeBob," then a few days with his uncle that was blown out of the water and my child was hooked on that little yellow sponge
