On Wednesday, the Amarillo Police Department responded to a call at the McDonald's located at 1815 S. Grand for a welfare check.  On arrival they found a deceased  male slumped over in the seat of a white Hyundai slumped over in the seat. 

The APD determined that the victim had suffered a gunshot wound to his torso.

Upon further investigation the APD found that a White or Hispanic male and the victim had driven to the Walmart at I-40 and Grand.  The male left the Hyundai and went inside the store while the victim remained in the car in the parking lot.  Another subject approached the car and spoke with the victim.  This subject got into the car on the passenger side and they left the parking lot.  At some point a third person entered the card.

After the victim was shot, the two subjects were seen exiting the car and getting into another car.  The car was described as a 2 door sports coupe, possibly gray in color.

Special Crimes is asking for your help in identifying one of the subjects.

The victim was identified as Zachary Scott Cooper, white male from Canadian, Tx.  An autopsy has been ordered.
